How do you update pricing?

I wonder if you wonderful people can help? (users not UL)

How do you update your pricing when you get new price lists from suppliers?

What do you do when you only get partial price updates. So just 20% of your products have a price update and all you have is the new Purchase and Sell price?

What are your pain points when doing price updates?

I'm interested in how others do this as we have just found ourselves in a world of pain just trying to do a very simple price update and ended up doing a manual search and replace of over 400 lines as UL does not appear to make this in any way easy.

Maybe I'm missing something so thought I'd ask other users.

Cheers

Lee

Thanks, Michael for replying, Something I wish more UL staff would do on this forum.

My point was not to get a solution as there isn't one. My question was aimed at finding out how other users update pricing? You cannot do this simply in UL and i am led to believe by UL that customers are happy working in Excel with formulas just to update some prices.

I cannot believe that a product that has a main aim of dealing with inventory and pricing so heavily relies on Excel to do the main leg work.

Hi Lee,

I sincerely apologise for not getting back to you sooner but I would like the opportunity to address your concern about how Unleashed performs certain functions, particularly those concerning the use of Excel or the like.

Excel is only used for 3 main functions which consist of exporting data, making bulk updates and importing data back into Unleashed. I can certainly see how this may seem a little unintuitive however using Excel is still one of the best and most compatible ways of handling large amounts of data at a time.

As Unleashed and its Modules are specialised to manage the end to end product lifestyle, Excel has a range of filters and tools specifically designed to manage raw data.

Within Unleashed, we provide many templates you can use to manage the exporting and importing of your data to make that process as easy as possible. Overall Excel is an extra tool that is used in conjunction with Unleashed but by no means do we believe is does the heavy lifting as you advised.

That being said we do take all our feedback on board and if our current processes are not satisfactory to our customers then we would certainly like to hear about it.

If you would some additional assistance with your data in particular please reach out to us via support@unleashedsoftware.com to see if we can help streamline your process, as manually searching and replacing 400 lines of data does seem very inefficient.

We look forward to hearing from you again soon.

Kind Regards,

Michael
