You can create and add products to a sales order regardless if it’s in stock or not, and this order will be in a Parked status. You can also create an order as well if you have the product allocated to other orders.

Remember, in the Parked status this will put the availability of the product into negative and add to the allocated quantity. If you don't want this to be added to the allocated quantity, you can always click on the "Deallocate" button.

In order to complete your sales order and dispatch a shipment, you need to have stock on hand for the product. However, even though you currently do not have any stock available, you have the option to Invoice your customer to pay in advance for your order.
