oAuth2.0 is an authentication framework that allows one application to interact with another on your behalf, without giving away your password. It was suggested and implemented as an alternative to the "usual" authentication procedures that require you to inform your credentials in order to receive a valid access token. With oAuth2.0, only encrypted tokens are sent to the authentication authority, which will then confirm they are valid and allow you access to the desired application.

Quickbooks (Intuit) recently announced an upgrade, migrating from its oAuth1.0 platform to oAuth2.0. This upgrade will bring a new security layer to the Quickbooks authentication process while also streamlining your login process.

Upgrade your Quickbooks integration to oAuth2.0

When the new framework was introduced by Intuit, this became a breaking change for all integrated applications, including Unleashed. Unleashed is now completely compliant and ready to work with oAuth2.0 but requires a manual refresh to your Quickbooks integration, in order to not disrupt their business workflow. 

Please find below a guide on how to ensure your integration is successfully migrated to oAuth2.0.

1. From Unleashed's main menu, go to Integration, Integration Store and select the Quickbooks tile. In there, use the Integration Status toggle to disconnect your integration.
   
   
   
2. A green banner will be displayed to confirm the integration's disconnected and the toggle will show the OFF status. Toggle the Reconnect? back on to restart the connection process.
   
   
   
3. You will be asked to enter your Quickbooks login credentials to verify your connection. Click on Connect to finish establish the integration's connection.
   
   
4. You'll be redirected to the integration's Configuration tab and you will see a banner notifying you that your settings are being imported. This process can be tracked using the notification tray in the top right corner of the screen.
   
   
   
5. Once this import is finished refresh your browser session to manage your settings. Review and enable the appropriate settings in the Configuration tab, making sure to click Save Configuration to apply them successfully.
