Magento Integration Introduction

Magento is an eCommerce platform that provides online merchants with a flexible shopping cart system. Combining Unleashed and Magento creates an ‘out of the box’ ERP solution that will super charge your business.

Before You Integrate

  • Magento can be installed and configured in many ways and can have third party plug-ins installed which may conflict with the Unleashed integration. Before integration, please submit a case to our Experience Team or ensure you do a comprehensive test for all possible scenarios.
  • We recommend using a test copy of your Magento store and a trial of Unleashed to test if the integration is possible.
  • Ensure you have selected the correct configuration settings. For more information, see Magento Integration setup.
  • Sales Invoices from Magento are imported into Unleashed as Parked Sales Orders. You must manually complete the orders.
  • Magento allows you to do "part invoices" which means that your order number and invoice number may have a different number or sequence.
  • Changes are synchronized every 15 to 30 minutes.  
  • If your server blocks traffic you can whitelist the following IP addresses on your Magento server:
    • 13.70.86.55
    • 13.75.150.153

  • Magento Community 1.9.0.0 - 1.9.2.4
Magento 1.9.3.x is not compatible unless you make some changes for your Magento store. You will require a Magento developer to implement these changes. For more information, see https://magento.stackexchange.com/questions/140761/soap-connection-problems-after-1-9-3-0-update/.
Unleashed does not support Magento 2.0 or Enterprise versions. For more information, please submit a case to our Experience Team. 

Supported Product Types

Supported Magento product type Description Example Notes

 

Simple

 

Simple products are individual products each with a unique SKU.

 

  • Basket
  • Flowers
  • Chocolates
  • Wrapping paper
  

 

Configurable

 

Products which can be configured with different options. 

You cannot purchase the PROTEINBAR, but rather a flavor of PROTEINBAR that is grouped up and displayed in Magento for customers to choose. 

 

Configurable Master product = PROTEINBAR

Available product configurations (i.e; Simple Products):

  • PROTEINBAR_STRAWBERRY
  • PROTEINBAR_CHOCOLATE

 

Changes made to product types and configurations in Unleashed are not updated in Magento.

 

Bundle

 

  • Simple products can be grouped together to be sold as a bundle product.
  • Bundle products are made up of multiple simple products.
  • Bundle products need to be set as assembled and auto-assembled. Simple products within a bundle need to be set as component products.
  • Generally the bundle is sold at a discounted rate compared to buying each product separately.

  • Basket

  • Chocolates
  • Wrapping paper

Bundle product: Gift hamper

 

 

 

To handle this in Unleashed, there is a feature known as "auto-assembly". When you sell the bundle, Unleashed will remove each of the components out of stock and add them to the finished product with a single sell price.

For example: When you sell a Gift Hamper, it will automatically reduce the stock levels of the products which are included:

  • Basket
  • Flowers
  • Chocolates
  • Wrapping paper 

We currently support fixed pricing on bundle products.
