You can create Unleashed data templates which can be exported and used with third-party logistics providers. This page details the Data Exporter functionality and covers the following topics:

Setting Role Permissions

Ensure that you have the Data Exporter and Data Source permissions enabled for access and/or editing.

  1. Go to Settings | Security | Role Permissions.
  2. Select the role from the Role drop-down list.
  3. Click Expand All to display the permissions list.
  4. Expand Data Exporter and enable the relevant permissions. Also, verify that the data source permissions are selected.

Viewing Templates

  1. Go to Integration | Data Exporter. The View Templates page is displayed.
    • You can filter by the following fields: Export Template, Data Source, and Export Format.
    • The following columns are displayed: Export Template, Data Source, Export Format, Email Address, Created By, and Last Modified.
    • The following actions are available from the Action Cog: Edit, Clone, and Delete.
  2. Click on the template name to open the template.
  • Click Download Preview to download a preview of the template before exporting.
  • Click Export to export the template. The Template Export message will be displayed and you can verify the status / download the template by clicking on the Tasks icon
  • Click Edit Template to edit the template. For more information, see Editing a Template.
  • Click Email to email the template.
  • Click View Email Log to view the record of emails sent.
  1. To add a new template, click Add Template. For more information, see Adding a New Template.

Adding a New Template

  1. Go to Integration | Data Exporter | Add Template.
  2. On the Create Template page, specify details for the required fields and select the other options as required (click to expand/collapse screenshot):
    • Template Name
    • Data Source
    • Export Format
    • Filters to apply: displays the filters you can use. 
Note: The maximum date range for export is 3 months.
  • Fields to be Exported: You can select the fields you want to be included in the template.
    • Select the fields in the Available Fields text area and click the Add button. You can use the navigation buttons to move the fields as required.
    • The order of the columns in the Selected Fields area will be used for the columns in the exported file.
  1. Click Save.

Editing a Template

  1. Go to Integration | Data Exporter. The list of templates is displayed.
  2. For the template you want to edit, from the action cog, select Edit. The template will be displayed in Edit mode (click to expand/collapse screenshot).
  3. Make the required changes and click Update.
  4. Click Download Preview to download a preview of the template before exporting.
  5. Click Export to export the template. The Template Export message will be displayed and you can verify the status / download the template by clicking on the Tasks icon.

Emailing a Template

You can email a generic template from the Data Exporter or you can email the data from a specific transaction.

Emailing a Generic Template 

  1. Go to Integration | Data Exporter. The list of templates is displayed.
  2. Click on the template you want to email.
  3. On the template page, scroll down and click Email.
  4. In the Send Email dialog box, complete the required details.
  5. Click Send

Emailing Data from a Transaction

  1. You can also email the templates from a specific transaction. For example, open a Sales Order and click Email | 3PL.
  2. In the Send Email dialog box, select the template from the Template drop-down list, and complete the required details.
  3. Click Send.

Viewing Emails

  1. On the Template page, click View Email Log. OR Go to Settings | Security | Email Logs. OR On the transaction page (Sales Order), click View Email Log.

Exporting a Template

  1. Go to Integration | Data Exporter. The list of templates is displayed.
  2. Click on the template you want to email.
  3. On the template page, click Export. The Template Export message will be displayed and you can verify the status / download the template by clicking on the Tasks icon.

FAQs

Is it possible to set up a Data Exporter Template for Credits?

Unfortunately you are unable to create a data exporter template to export credits, as the data source can only be pulled from Sales Orders or Sales Shipments at this point in time.
