Import/Export Sales Orders
FollowUse the Import Sales Orders function to bulk create Parked Sales Orders in a single upload.
Points to note
- You must import Sales Orders using Unleashed's Import Sales Order template.
- The Import Sales Order function will only create new Sales Orders, it cannot be used to update or edit existing Sales Orders.
- Order Numbers used for import must be unique, existing Order Numbers will fail to import.
- Custom Order Numbers can be imported with the Import Sales Order template. Any required prefixes or formatting must be entered into the template prior to importing.
- The customer must already exist as a "Customer" record in Unleashed before creating a Sales Order with the import template.
- To add a new Sales Order to the template, add the header details for subsequent orders and add as many product lines as required.
- Sales Orders imported with the Import Sales Order function will only import with "Parked" status, Sales Orders cannot be imported as "Completed".
- The "Unit Price" entered in the template will override any default sell price set in Unleashed's Product or Customer records. To ensure the product or customer's default pricing applies, leave the "Unit Price" field blank.

Import Sales Orders with a CSV template
- From Unleashed's main menu, go to Sales, Orders and select Import/Export.
- Click on Download Sales Order Template and a blank CSV copy of the Import Sales Order template will be downloaded to your device.
- Fill in the Import Sales Order template with the new Sales Order details. For details on the fields included on the CSV template, see Import Sales Orders field definitions

Save the template as a CSV file format.
- In Unleashed's Import/Export page upload the Import Sales Order template by either dropping it into the upload space or by clicking in the space and selecting the file from your device.
- A notification will be displayed in the banner at the top of your Unleashed page to confirm the upload is in progress:
- Orange circle: In Progress
- Red cross: Import failed or had errors.
- Green tick: Import completed successfully.
- If the import has completed successfully, the new Sales Orders will be created with a "Parked" status. If the import was not successful, any errors found will be listed in the notification tab and a summary will also be emailed to your user email.
