Using the AIM Forecast Parent Assemblies tab
FollowIn this article we will cover how the Parent Assemblies tab can help you review where demand for the currently forecast product is originating from, the quantity of this demand per assembled product and how to navigate between the forecasts for related products.
This tab only appears if the product open in forecast is a component product. Allow 1-hour for AIM to update if you make a product an component product.
Let's review the UI:
- Filter search for assembled products of the current product being forecast
- Date range selector that filters the assembled demand quantity to only the quantity that is in demand within that date range.
Use this filter to query how much demand exists within a time period of interest - Product Code of the related assembled product
- Description of the related assembled product
- Warehouse of the assembled product that is creating demand on the currently forecast product. This is determined by the 'Source Warehouse' in the Plan Production strategy panel of the assembled items forecast.
- Production Demand Qty and Base Unit of Measure forecast per assembled product. This is the quantity of demand filtered by the date range select (2).
- The forecast status of the related assembled product.
- Toggle flatten BOM, showing all assembled products of assembled products, or single level BOM, to show only direct assembled products of the currently forecast product.
You are able to navigate up the BOM to assembled product forecasts by clicking on a product code. You are also able to navigate to related component items using the Component Demand tab.
