Understanding the Review Grid
FollowIn this article we will review the Review Grid details. The Review grid allows you to quickly understand the status of your stock controls and forecasts.
Let's take a closer look at the interface:
The Review grid rows uses the follow columns:
- Transaction
The transaction name entered when submitting the modelling transaction, or saving a forecast - Status
The status of the transaction, based on whether the products have been superseded by a subsequent transaction. Because some products in modelled may have been modelled on a different transaction, the status may become 'Mixed' - Count
The count of products when the transaction was created - Type
Transactions are either Forecast or Model - Value (cur)
The stock on hand value of the products in the transaction - Max dec. in demand
The maximum decrease in demand of the products in the transaction since the transaction was created - Max inc. in demand
The maximum increase in demand of the products in the transaction since the transaction was created - Controls Status
The controls status of transactions in AIM is determined by the max increase or decrease in demand, or the review time. If the review time has expired, or the demand has varied by +/- 10% then the Controls Status will change from 'Okay' to 'Needs Review.' - Review Time
The Review Time displays the number of days remaining until the transaction is due to be reviewed. When this has passed, the Controls Status will change to 'Needs Review' and the Review Time will display 'Expired.' - Review button
The Review button will start the review process. If the transaction is for a Model of stock limits, a recalculate of new stock limits based on the existing strategy and the current rate of demand will be prompted. You can choose to accept this recalculation by pressing Submit, or load the products into the Modelling tab by pressing 'Edit.'
As you can see above in the screenshot, because demand has dropped, the stock limits are being lowered to match. By pressing 'Edit' I can choose to recalculate the modelling using a completely different strategy.
If you are reviewing a transaction that is for a forecast, the forecast will open, allowing you to change the forecast demand, change your strategy and save.
