AIM Activity Panel

Welcome to the AIM Activity Panel!

This panel is designed to indicate how you are progressing with the setup of AIM and highlight any missing stock limits or lead days that you may have overlooked.

Let's review some of the details:

Lead Days: this progress bar displays the proportion of products that currently have supplier lead days set. Click the ‘Finish’ button to load products that are missing these controls. You should set lead days for all purchased  products so the system can accurately calculate a minimum stock quantity to hold and 'purchase by' date. Check out how to and why to set lead days.

Stock Limits: this progress bar displays the proportion of products that currently have both min and max stock controls set. Click the ‘Finish’ button to load products that are missing these controls. Note that the products with active forecasts don't make use of Stock Limits or the Reorder Report. Check out how to Model stock limits in AIM

Forecasts Set: this progress bar displays the proportion of products that have forecasts. Click the ‘View’ button to open the modelling page filtered to show these products that currently have forecasts. You can then click the AIM icon to open these forecasts. Check out how to Forecast in AIM to calculate replenishments and production plans

NOTE: Depending on how many products you manage, the most important products will have forecasts, while the remainder will rely on the AIM Modelling function to set stock limits and replenish via the Reorder Report.

Stock control age chart: This chart will segment products by the age of their stock controls. The min/max stock level may need to be recalculated as your rate of demand changes. You can select the segments to load these products into Modelling to review their settings. How often you need to update the stock controls will depend on the growth or decline of the Rate of Demand. You should also check out the AIM Review tab, which is designed to help you keep your stock control up to date.
