Why can't I add a product to a Sales Order?

Only products that have been enabled as Sellable can be added to open (Parked or Placed) Sales Orders (SO) or Quotes. 

If a product is not showing up in the SO's "Product" search field, it may be because the product has not been setup as Sellable. To update the product to be Sellable:

  1. Go to the product's record

  2. In the Details tab, under Type, check that the Sellable toggle is on (green).


  3. Click Save.

You can also update multiple products to Sellable using the Product Import function. For more details, see Import/Export Products.
