Account Owner, Superusers and Partners in Unleashed
FollowEach Unleashed account can have only one designated Account Owner, who will be responsible for managing the account and handling subscription and billing changes.
Multiple users can be assigned the 'Superuser' role within the account. By default, 'Superuser' is a predefined role under Settings > Security > Roles. The Account Owner can assign the Superuser role to existing users via the Role column on the Users page or invite new users to their Unleashed account, selecting Superuser as the Role.
Account Owner
Below is a list of attributes available only to "Account Owner" users:
- Has full access to all pages within their Unleashed Account, provided they also have "superuser" role assigned to them.
- Can access the Billing page (Settings > Billings) and request subscription and billing-related changes (e.g., upgrades, downgrades, cancellations).
- Can view Unleashed subscription invoices.
- Can access the account's unique API credentials via the Unleashed API Access page (Integration > Unleashed API Access).
- Can create or delete a Sandbox.
- Can reset 2-Step Authentication (2SA) for other users.
How to identify the Account Owner
To identify your Account Owner:
- From the main menu go to Settings > Security and click on Users.
- Above the Users grid the "Account Owner" will be named.
NOTE: Your user's role must have the "Settings > Users" permission enabled to view the Account Owner detail.
Partner User
If you are working with a Partner of Unleashed, as their client, you have the option to invite the partner as a "Partner User". Partner Users of an Unleashed account have full access and editing rights to your Unleashed account like a Superuser, but they do not count as a licensed user for your subscription. This means that you do not need to assign an existing user license to a Partner User, provided the Partner is set up with their own Partner Unleashed account.
Points to note
- The "Partner" must be a registered partner of Unleashed to be added as a partner-user.
- Partner Users cannot be assigned User Roles, and their permissions cannot be edited or changed. They have the same access as a Superuser.
- Partner Users do not count as standard users in an Unleashed account and will not use a license from the Unleashed subscription.
How to invite a Partner User
Provided the Partner has their own Partner-based account in Unleashed already set up, they can be invited to be a Partner User of your account by following the below steps:
- The Account Owner of the client Unleashed account must be logged in to their own account.
- From the main menu, go to Settings > Security > Users.
- In the top right corner, select "Invite a User".
- Fill in the "Invite a User" form, providing the partner's current Unleashed Partner login email address.
- Click "Invite".
- The Partner will be immediately listed at the bottom of the User page, under the "Partners" section.
If the Partner's details are displayed with your account's "Users" instead of under "Partners", contact the Partner and ensure the correct email address has been used to invite them and confirm they have been set up as a Partner of Unleashed.
