Use Receipted Stock In Assemblies
FollowAbout the "Use Receipted Stock In Assemblies" setting
The "Use Receipted Stock in Assemblies" setting in Unleashed allows you to decide whether you are able to complete Assemblies that include products currently in Receipted status Purchase Orders (PO's) as components.
By default, the "Use Receipted Stock in Assemblies setting will be disabled, which means assemblies can only be completed in Unleashed if all the component products included have no PO's in a Receipted status.
When "Use Receipted Stock in Assemblies" is enabled, assemblies that include component products currently included on a Receipted PO can be completed. The assembly's total cost and therefore the assembled product's new Average Landed Cost (ALC) will be calculated using the each component's current ALC and Supplier Costs. This means any additional costs added to the receipted component's PO after the assembly has been completed will not be retrospectively added to the completed assembly.
Please make sure you understand the accounting implications of doing so in terms of costs that may be added to your purchase order AFTER receipting. We recommend you ensure all staff are made aware of the change in behaviour if you enable this setting.
By toggling this setting ON, you acknowledge that the costs of your completed assemblies will be bound to the costs of the goods at the time of receipting and will exclude any additional costs that are added between receipting and completing a purchase order.
Points to note
- Any re-costings or additional costs added to Purchase Orders after the component product has been receipted will be applied ONLY to the component product's stock value and NOT the assembled product.
- If your component product has no Stock on Hand quantity this re-costing will be voided.
- The "Use Receipt Stock in Assemblies" setting does not allow receipted goods to be included on Disassemblies. The function only works for assemblies.

Using the "Use Receipted Stock in Assemblies" setting
When "Use Receipted Stock in Assemblies" is enabled
If the setting is enabled, when Receipting or Split Receipting a Purchase Order, a pop-up message will be displayed indicating that stock will be available for use on assemblies.
You will then be able to complete your assembly if the goods are receipted.
NOTE: The assembly costs will NOT include any purchase order re-costing that occurs.
In the below example, the component product's ALC at the time the PO was receipted and the assembly completed "86.30" will be used in the assembly. The component's subsequent ALC "86.40" which was calculated when additional costs were added to the receipted PO and completed, after the assembly was completed, will not be added to the completed assembly of the assembled stock's value.
When "Use Receipted Stock in Assemblies" is disabled
If the setting is disabled, any attempt to complete an assembly where a component is included on a Receipted PO will fail. A red error message will be displayed and the assembly will remain in it's current status (e.g. Parked). The error message will show the following message "You cannot complete this assembly, as it contains the following product(s) on a receipted purchase order:" and will include a list of the products currently on a receipted PO. You will need to complete the receipted PO's prior to completing the assembly.
