How to add Component Products to an Invoice Template
If a Sales Order includes products that have been assembled from the Sales Order, you can include the components used to create the assembled products on your Invoice and Sales Order documents.
NOTE: Components will only be populated if an Assembly has been created and completed from the Sales Order line.
To include an Assembly's components in a Sales Order or Invoice template:
- From Unleashed's main menu, go to Settings, Doc Designer and select Sales Orders or Invoices.
- Use the Template dropdown menu to select the template you're updating, it cannot be Formal or Classic.
- Select the LinesGrid component in the template's layout.
- Go to the Component tab.
- In Headers, find and select ComponentProducts.
- Tick the Visible checkbox.
- Select Save and Publish.
From then on, the components and quantities used in the Sales Order's Assembly will be populated when the template's printed or emailed.

- From Unleashed's main menu, go to Settings, Doc Designer and select the document type you replicate.
- Use the Template dropdown menu to select the template you're using.
- Click Export. The template will be downloaded into a Text document.
- Open the Text document and update the DocumentType to align with the type you'll be importing it to.
- Update the LayoutName to a unique template name, and save the document.
- From Unleashed's main menu, go to Settings, Doc Designer and select the document type you want to import to.
- Import the updated Text document via the grey upload tile.
Manage decimal places on Doc Designer templates
Doc Designer templates can show between 0 - 6 decimal places for numerical values. To manage how many decimal places are shown per component on a Doc Designer template:
- From Unleashed's main menu, go to Settings, Doc Designer and select the document type you want to edit.
- Select the component in the template's layout, e.g. SalesOrderLinesGrid.
- Go to the Components tab.
- Select a Header that will populate a numerical value, e.g. UnitPrice.
- Scroll down to the Decimal Places dropdown menu, and select the appropriate number of decimal places you want to display.
- Click Save and Publish.
Include currency on Doc Designer templates
Add the Currency Code component, typically found in the Other Data section of your Doc Designer templates, to automatically populate the Customer or Supplier's currency in a text format, e.g. GBP, AUD, USD and NZD.
To display the currency's symbol, e.g. £, $, €, instead of it's text format, a template per currency is required. For each currency template, add a Text Box component and enter the currency symbol in the Text Box's Component tab.
