All customers that you sell to need to be set up in Unleashed prior to Quotes, Sales and Credits being created. Customer data entered or amended in Unleashed will instantly update your Xero file and vice versa.
The Customer Entry screen gives you the ability to add Customers that you can purchase off. This would also include people like Cash Sales that you can sell to.
Below is a screenshot of each tab on the Customer Entry screen accompanied by an explanation of what each field means:
Customer Code & Name: Enter the desired Customer Code and Name in these boxes. The Customer Code has to be unique between Customer and cannot change once it is set.
Customer Type: If you want to group customer by type you can enter the type here. When importing this will be created automatically for you.
Sales Person: If you want to set a default salesperson you can choose it in this drop-down. It is currently limited to your current user names.
Default Delivery Address: If you select a default address in the drop-down it will pre-populate the address field on the customers invoice with that address
Notes: If you have any notes you wish to record for a Customer you can enter these here. These will be searchable on the Global Search option available later this year.
Obsolete: A Customer can only be deleted if there have been no transactions for them. If there has been some already then you can only obsolete them which will hide them from all screens.
Print Invoice & Packing Slip: Depending on what you want to print when completing an invoice for this customer you can tick these boxes.
Stop Credit: Ticking this box which will stop any further invoices being created for the customer.
GST/VAT Number: If you have the Customers Tax Number you can enter it in here.
Default Currency: You can choose the currency of the Customer here if you have the currency set up under Settings.
Taxable & Tax Rate: If this customer is taxable then tick the box and choose the tax rate if you wish. This will override the default rate when entering an invoice.
Xero Sales Account: If you want the default sales account to be overridden for this customer select it here. Note that the product tax rate will override this one.
Bank Account Details: If you have the bank details of the customer feel free to enter these here for reference.
Payment Terms: This is where you select the payment terms you have with this customer. The due date on the Xero invoice will be calculated using this.
Sell Price Tier: If you have set up price for each price tier you can select what tier the customer belongs to. You can rename these in Settings.
Discount: If you wish to set up a default discount for this customer you can enter this here.

Postal Address: The postal address is what is printed on the Customer Invoice
Physical Address: The physical address is for your record of where their business is and can be used as the delivery address on an invoice.
Note: The Address Name has to be unique for every address
Contact Details of the Customer can be kept here which will also be exported to Xero. The email address entered here is the email address it will default to when you try and email an Invoice to this Customer.
You can have multiple delivery addresses for a customer to save you having to enter them in on each invoice. Simply enter the address details and click Save. You can also import these in via the Customer Import.
The Customer Invoice tab will show you a list of all invoices for this customer based on the two filters at the top.
The Customer Credits tab will show you a list of all the credits for this customer based on the filter at the top.
