Multi-Warehouse

You can activate multi-warehouse from either the Setup Wizard when creating a new account, or from Settings  |  Company, and selecting the Enable Multi Warehouse checkbox.

You can change the prefix for Warehouse Transfers from Settings  |  System  |  Prefixes.

NOTE: This can only be done before any Warehouse Transfers are raised.

Warehouses are created and edited from Settings  |  System  |  Warehouses.

New warehouses can be created by clicking Add Warehouse.

Double-clicking a warehouse or clicking the Edit button for a respective line you can change the Warehouse details.

Only the Warehouse Code, Warehouse Name, and Contact Name fields are mandatory. By entering the address of the warehouse however this will make raising and sending Purchase Orders to Suppliers much easier, as by choosing a warehouse the delivery address will automatically populate.

When raising a Purchase Order you can select the Warehouse the goods are to be sent to. Receipts cannot be split across multiple warehouses. When receipting a purchase order all quantity from the lines will be added to the stock on hand quantity of the selected warehouse.

If a default warehouse is selected, this will automatically populate when creating a new Purchase Order. If no default is selected the top line of the Warehouse List will act as the default. Any Warehouse can be selected from the dropdown.

To change your default warehouse simply un-check the default box from the current selection, and then apply it to the desired warehouse.

Filters have been added to all relevant Enquiries allowing for relevant display data by Warehouse.

Transfers between warehouses can be completed from Inventory  |  Warehouse Transfers. Click Add to create a new transfer. Simply enter the Warehouse to transfer from, which to transfer to, and from Product Lines the stock items and quantities to transfer. Click Complete to carry out the transfer.

Parking the transfer will allocate the stock quantities from the Product Lines.

When creating a Sales Invoice a Warehouse must be selected. The available quantity displayed on product lines is the quantity on-hand for that particular warehouse. An invoice can only be created for one warehouse at a time.

Hi Caroline,

That is right you are able to choose the warehouse when you first start entering the order but as soon as you add a line this will be locked in. This is because you cannot have multiple lines on one invoice coming from different warehouses. What I would encourage is the use of the Warehouse Transfer feature if applicable to move the stock into the correct warehouse.

Hope this helps or if you would like to speak about this further please don't hesitate to email us at support@unleashedsoftware.com

Sorry maybe didn't make it clear enough.  When I enter an invoice in it will not let me change the warehouse if there is not enough stock.  The warehouse button gets greyed out so if you find stock not avail in one warehouse you can't choose to swap warehouses.  Have to delete the order and start all over.

Hi Caroline,

You should be able to do that already if it is what I think you are referring to. When entering an invoice you have an option to select a warehouse and so depending on what warehouse the stock is in this is where you can select it.

There is also the warehouse transfer feature which lets you transfer your stock between warehouses.

Hope this helps!

It would be helpful to my company to be able to change warehouses if stock unavailable in one warehouse.
