To help save you some time when selling your assembled products you all have now got the ability to have these assemble automatically. In a matter of a few clicks you can enable this and start selling your assembled products with ease.

To enable this feature you will need to have already enabled Production and then go to Settings | Company and choose “Enable Auto Assembly” as pictured below. Please note that you will not be able to disable this once it is has been enabled.

Once you have enabled Auto Assembly then whenever you sell an Assembled product it will automatically assemble it for you if there is not enough in stock (assuming you have the relevant components in stock). This will remove all the fuss of having to manually assemble these products and will also be a lot more accurate.

Another handy thing that this new feature does is calculate - on the fly - how much of the Assembled product you could potentially assemble and show this as “Avail.” on the invoice entry screen. As you can see in the screenshots below, even though we have 0 qty on hand it shows as 20 available when entering the invoice because we have enough components in stock to assemble 20.

The 2 component products “BUN” and “NEW” have got 20 qty on hand whereas the assembled product “TEST” has 0

Unleashed calculates how much of the Assembled product “TEST” you can make based on the components you have in stock

Once you have successfully entered in all your lines on an invoice (including your yet to be assembled products) you can go ahead and click “Complete” as usual. This is where the magic happens as Unleashed does all the work for you assembling the products behind the scenes. An assembly will be created and completed for the relevant quantities and all your stock levels will be updated accordingly.

A full audit trail of all assemblies and sales will be made so when you are enquiring you can see exactly what has happened. Please see the screenshots below for what to expect:

When enquiring on the assembly you can see that this was in reference to invoice SI-00000022

When enquiring the transactions for the product you will see both the assembly and the subsequent invoice.
